Chullikkara a village in Kasargod,Kerala

            Chullikkara is a village in Kasargod district of Kerala state, Gods own country. It is about 22 km away from kanhangad and 18 km away from NH 17. Kanhangad - panathur State highway runs through this place. It can be also called as a small township.Chullikkara is a place where people belonging to different religion reside with peace harmony and unity. This place is surrounded by hills and has a pleasant climate. The nearest town or municipality is Kanhangad also know as Hosdurg. The nearest railway station  is also at Kanhangad. 

            The people of chullikkara belong to religions like Christianity, Hinduism Muslim etc...People of chullikkara are mainly engaged in agriculture and small scale business setup. The main crops which is cultivated in this place include coconut,aracanut,rubber,pepper,cashew plantation etc.

             Nearest police station is Rajapuram Police Station situated just 2 km away from chullikkara.The post office of this area is located at padimaruth just 2 km away, nearest telephone exchange and electricity offices are also located at rajapuram.Nearest eletric sub ststion is at mavungal. There are three banks at chullikkara namely, Syndicate bank, North malabar gramin bank and The Kasargod dist co-operative bank.

           Transport in this area is made easy with the help of autos and other taxi vehicles. Private and govt buses are frequently running through this area. Buses are available to the places like Kanhangad, Panathur, Kasargod, Mangalore, Kottayam etc. The nearest airport is Mangalore airport located 120km away. The nearest seaport is also at mangalore.

They provide technical education at a low fees to the local people. they also provide free schooling and tutions for the poor students selected by them.They also run  akshaya center, which is a unit of IT mission, Kerala govt for the improved IT education all over the state.
          St. Joseph's Special School is an institution for the education of mentally retarded students, is also located at chullikkara. This is run by the sisters of St. Joseph's congregation.
